What is a dog walker?

I am the head dog and we run around the backyard.

What training methods do you use for your dogs?

I teach them how to sit on my hands or on my shoulders.

How does that work?

I ask them to sit on their hands one at a time. If they don’t, I say you have to sit on your hands or on your shoulders.

I take them to different spots on the yard and then they figure out where their owner is.

How does that go?

The first week there might be five dogs, the second week there might be 14 dogs.

When do you get them to do that?

The second week there might be 17 dogs, and the third week there might be 26.

What about your dogs getting older?

I don’t really care.

Do you ever miss being a dog walker?

It’s a hobby I enjoy, so I don’t really miss that.

Do you have any particular advice for dog walkers?

Take your dogs to other people’s yards as often as you can.

What has your life been like since you turned 15?

I’ve done all kinds of things I’ll never forget.

What was the highlight?

We were running with our owner’s dogs.

Have you ever wanted to go with kids?

I’m okay with it, yes.

How many kids you can have at one time?

Three is nice, or four if nobody seems happy.

Do you ever miss the dog walker, dog walker and mom?

I can’t wait for next spring.

Is it really fun being a dog walker?

It’s a great job.

Do you ever wish you weren’t?

I try to put everything in perspective.

Do you ever find yourself wishing there weren’t dogs?

I’m very lucky to work with people who love dogs.

Do you ever think about quitting your job because you’re addicted to your job?

I’m not gonna quit my job until they realize I do what I do.

What is your relationship like with your wife?

We married when I was 16, and I’ve been in love with her ever since.

She loves me.
