The short version: yes, that’s a grant.
The long version: it goes out to a grant application committee with a certain number of approved applicants and a decision is expected this year.
The grant is a grant given by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries in the name of Fia.
What can we do if we want to apply? (see the Frequently Asked Questions section for an example)
1. Go to this page
2. Do the steps.
3. Wait for an answer to be sent back.
There are only two applicants in line. See the FAQ for more info about this committee. It’s possible any of them apply instead.
If the next application fails, then there is no need to apply again, we can just move on to the following application. But if they do both apply, then they don’t have to wait for the next one, because we have already sent them both the application we would have sent them if they hadn’t submitted two applications. And if they miss the deadline, that’s fine too, because that applies to all other applications as well.
This is how easy it is to apply for a grant with Fia. You just click on their name and get on. The application process is super quick, and if they miss the deadline to apply, we just move on to the next one.

We are pleased to offer your review copies of our book The Great American Novel. We are also pleased to have your book, but don’t have it with us just yet. It’s only a few pages long, but we thought you might like it, too! The Great American Novel was written in 1996 in a single weekend by my friend, author, and former editor of The New York Times bestselling novels, Mark Olshaker. He is a former poet and poet laureate. Mark was inspired to write it during the writing of his novel A Portrait of Jane Eyre , which will be published by Vintage Books in November 2000. It was released as an omnibus edition on February 9, 2000 (a paperback edition was issued August 20, 2000) by Simon & Schuster. We thought they were the best of the lot, but there were a lot of good books out when Mark decided to write this and we wish he hadn’t abandoned his own, more ambitious, novel. We hope he gets the money to finish it, and that it turns out better.
