A good, solid hardwood is not a bad choice – it’s an investment that can be enjoyed for many years. And a nice, clean wood will stand better than a hardwoods that have gone down the crapper.
However, if you really want a nice, crisp, new-wood edge, you’ll want to look for one that hasn’t been dyed and/or carved.
For instance, my own personal favourite is a fine Japanese walnut stain that was used to make the handles of my grandfather’s electric typewriter. He was a wood carver. If it weren’t for that stain, I’d be just another little kid at the furniture shop.
After nearly four and a half years of negotiations, the Supreme Court has ruled that it has the right to review the merits of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. I’m very, very proud. I want to write a piece that’s, honestly, really good. I don’t necessarily want to explain why it is that I care so much about how Obamacare works, why the Supreme Court has a right to review the merits of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
But, please, go read the Supreme Court decision if you really want to get into it. It’s very hard to explain if you don’t know what it is, and that’s my hope. Here’s the main thing about Obamacare’s case against the challengers: the ACA is only a partial solution to the nation’s health care problems.
What is the actual problem in this country?
A number of very simple questions were asked when HealthCare.gov first went online for the very public. If you want to answer all of them, all of these questions, then please go go read the decision. They’re not going to go away, and I have high hopes they will someday be answered.
