The American Civil Liberties Union today is releasing a detailed investigation, commissioned by the Center for Media and Democracy, into whether and how Fox News’ Shepard Smith lied to the American people about U.S. intelligence regarding President Obama’s phone calls with Russian officials.

The investigation, conducted by ACLU lawyers Jennifer Granick and Chris Anders, looked at statements made by the Fox News host on live television during three broadcast interviews between May 2012 and April 2017.
