No. I was just a dog walker. I got very lucky being a dog walker and the best part is that I can do what I want to do now.
As far as what you do now?
I am a private detective. I have been a private detective for the last 25 years. I work with private clients to solve crimes. I work with a criminal psychology expert to evaluate clients who are very aggressive. And I work with a private investigator to find the best investigative path. I have also been a forensic investigator and I like to take pictures of evidence that can help with my investigation.
What do you do with the dogs?
We take care of the dogs when we get the chance. We are very kind to them in that way. We give them food and water. We give them lots of time in the cage to socialize with other dogs. The best way to deal with them when there is not much to do is to be with them.
Can they play with you?
Yes, they are very inquisitive. They like to watch people and see what is happening. In that way they like to play with me.
How long have you been a dog walker?
I met my husband when I was 17 in 1983. Since then I have been working as a dog walker.
Did you do any rescue work?
No. I worked as a private investigator.
What are the dog dogs like?
They are very friendly. They can play with me, jump right up on me, take a peek in my purse and even grab for me. I have owned over 30 dogs. We had an old German shepherd that came in with two broken legs. He was very bad off and not able to walk correctly. I couldn’t find his perfect therapy so I started a dog walker program, the only one in the province, which brought him to his feet. The dogs at Cane Creek School are about as nice as they came. We have five of them now.
Do you have a secret?
No, I don’t. I am very open about things. I can’t tell you all the secrets of myself. I try to help everyone. I’m not trying to be a detective, or to solve what happened to me or a little girl. I just want to take care of my dogs and live happily with them.
