NOVA is used to signal a non-runner to signal he is not interested in a particular play.
Why are there three signs ?
If there was only one, I wouldn’t be able to do this kind of analysis. So I had to try and divide them into different categories.
In this article, I will share all the signs you need to know in order to effectively use these in your play. The following sign will be included in the list of 3 signals that are commonly used to indicate a runner you should not bet on.
The non-runner signal
The non runner signal is used when the player is not interested in playing the card or the runner is not in the same suit as the card.
When you see a non runner signal, you should only bet on high chances, low values and high value plays with your money.
Let’s say the first player comes back with a 3. I will bet that the runner is not interested in playing the card. If the runner was only interested in the 3 the previous hand, I should bet that high value value on the 3.
Let’s say the first player comes back with a 7. I will bet that the runner is not interested in playing the card. If the runner was only interested in the 7 the previous hand, I should bet low value.
Nova is used and the signals you need with this card
It is important to have a good understanding on the use of Nova. Before I begin this article, I want to say I think that some people are misinformed about how the card works . After your first hand when they see the card, you should place a low value bet on any high value action and immediately close the hand. Then you follow the Nova rule.
When you see a non runner signal, you should bet the same for low values, high values/high value plays. In this case, you should not have an idea if this plays are in any suit or not. You only have to watch the player. You should not have a suspicion on a player or a action.
For example, when the runner plays the queen with a queen as his 3rd suit, if I watched this hand, I should go for my 5. But, if the runner
